Chapter 2 Wireless LAN AP Connection

1. Locate an optimum location for the W ireless LAN

Access Point.

The best l ocation f or your Access Poi nt is us uall y at t he

cent er of your wireless net work, wit h line of sight t o all of

your mobile stati ons.

2. Connect the W ireless LAN Access Point to your

router, hub or switch.

Connect one end of st andard UTP cable t o t he Access

Point’s LAN Port and c onnect the oth er end of t he c able

to a switch, a router or a hub. The Access Point will then

be c onnected t o your exist ed wired LAN Networ k.

3. Connect the DC Po wer Ad apter to the W ireless L AN

Access Point’s Po wer Socket.

Only us e the power adapt er supplied wit h the Access

Point. Using a different adapt er may damage t he product .

The Hard ware In stallation is complet e.
