Preamble T ype

The “Long Preamble” can provi de

better wireless LAN compatibility while

the “Short Preambl e” can provide

bett er wirel ess LAN performance.

Broadc ast ESSID

If you enable “Broadcas t ESSID”, ever y

wireless station located within the

coverage of this access point can

discover this acc ess point easil y. I f you

are building a public wireless network,

enabling this f eature is rec ommended.

Disabling “Broadc ast E SSID” can

provide better s ecurit y.

IAPP

If you enable “IAPP”, it will allow

wireless station roaming between IAPP

enabled acc ess points wit hin t he s ame

wireless LAN.

802.11g

Protecti on

This is also called CTS Protection. It is

recommended to enable the protecti on

mechanis m. T his mechanis m can

decrease the r ate of data collision

between 802.11b and 802.11g wireless

stations. When t he protection mode is

enabled, the throughput of the AP will

be a little lower due t o many of frame

traffic should be trans mitt ed.

Click Apply butt on at the b ottom of the screen to save t he

above configurations. You can now configure other advanc e

sections or st art using the Access Point.
